After almost 14 years of marriage, I can tell you one thing about relationships: they're not always easy. They say that 50% of marriages end in divorce and judging by the fact that I have absolutely zero local married friends, I'd say that number is about right. Successful relationships are like anything else in life: they're hard work. Sometimes you have to get creative and think outside the box when it comes to dealing with relationship and marital issues, and the new show Sex Box does exactly that.
Sex Box Show, a brand new show on WEtv that premieres THIS Friday, February 27th at 10 PM EST, is a groundbreaking, unprecedented and life-changing solution for couples caught in crisis mode. It's an unorthodox way for couples dealing with sexual and emotional issues to work through them under the guidance of professional therapists.
It's not your average couple's counseling, that's for sure!
Each week on the Sex Box Show on WEtv, three couples will join us from a variety of different backgrounds and share their sexual and emotional issues with experts Dr. Chris Donaghue, Sexologist and Clinical Psychotherapist; Dr. Fran Walfish, Relationship Psychotherapist and Dr. Yvonne Capehart, Pastor and Couples Counselor. These experts will listen to the couple's problems and offer them advice in the hopes of changing their lives.
Of course, the show is called Sex Box Show for a reason - the show is anything but ordinary! Sex Box was developed around the concept that people are more open with each other directly after they engage in intimate activity. This is a scientific, proven theory; I'm sure you've heard before that couples are naturally closer immediately after they are intimate, right? It's based on scientific research that found that the body is flooded with oxytocin and endorphins immediately after intimacy, which basically works to create a bond between partners. So the couples have sex in a specially-designed chamber right on stage in front of a live studio audience...then they come out into the public and speak about their feelings with the therapists to try to get to the root of their problems. Don't worry, the chamber, or "Sex Box" is 100% private and there's nothing graphic shown on television - the couple can focus on each other as usual and the real vulnerability happens once they walk onto stage to speak to the therapists.
I know. It's pretty outrageous and I don't think I've ever heard of something like this being done before!! Like I said, the show is groundbreaking!
This is going to be the boldest show ever to be on television, and after you check out this trailer, you're going to want to watch it!
You've heard of - and probably watched - extreme sports on television for years...now it's time for extreme therapy with Sex Box Show!

Sex with other people while married? Oh my! I can say we don't need sex counseling 😉
Penelope
Oh my! I like the idea, but what about those dudes who close off after sex and just want to go to sleep? Or what if a couple is done in 30 seconds (I guess then we know what one of their problems is) or takes an HOUR? Lol, this is going to be awesome to watch!

Oh no, you don't do it with other people! LOL!! It's the couple having sex together 🙂

ROFL Oh my gosh, can you imagine if it only took a minute or two, the guy wouldn't want to come out of the box because they would be embarrassed!

I saw the commercial for this just the other day! It's a great way to get couples talking about such a sensitive subject! I like that they make it light and fun but really help with such an important topic in a good, healthy marriage! And let's face it... couples have sex, right? So... why not make it good? 😉
