With two women in the house, there seems to be an endless parade of health and beauty products through our bathroom! Angeline and I are always trying new oral hygiene products, new make up and hair care products, and of course, skincare products.
I was recently sent a package with this really fun new FireFly Angry Birds oral care line that features Angry Birds characters in both toothbrushes and mouthwash. I was thinking that I would give these to my nieces and nephew, whose ages range from 4 to 13, but...as soon as Angeline saw them, she snatched them up! It's pretty funny, because when the brand approached me, they had teenagers in mind. Their marketing is right on target!
About The Firefly Angry Birds Oral Care Line
Firefly Angry Birds Anti-Cavity Mouth Rinse offers a fun finishing touch to your child’s oral hygiene routine. It has fluoride for strong tooth enamel and comes in a choice of Red Bird or Stella. The 3-D characters perch atop the bottles for a friendly presence at the bathroom sink. The mouth rinse can reach places a toothbrush might miss, so it’s great for braces wearers. Included is a free no-mess cup with a precision fill line that attaches to the bottom of the bottle for easy, clutter-free storage.
Firefly Angry Birds Fluoride Foam Toothpaste is a non-traditional toothpaste with a foamy texture -- kids squirt it right in their mouths! No more countertop spills…something parents will appreciate. Unlike regular toothpaste, its immediate foaming action flushes out food debris from those hard-to-reach places. It is also recommended for braces wearers.
Firefly Angry Birds Ready Go Brush has a light-up timer that mimics a traffic light. Green for go, yellow for halfway done, and red for finished! It’s so colorful and fun to use that kids will want to brush, no nagging from parents required. While Angeline doesn't really care about the lights, I am sure younger kids would be all over this feature. She loves these toothbrushes because of the suction cups - she sticks them all over the bathroom, and I am always finding one stuck on the window in the shower. Ha ha!
Angeline and I both have combination skin types, which means that while our T Zone is usually pretty oily, the rest of our face can be quite dry, especially in the winter months when we lack humidity here in Miami. We were sent some new CapriClear Spray On Moisturizer, a pretty cool new over-the-counter treatment that helps with dry skin.
About CapriClear Spray on Moisturizer
CapriClear Spray On Moisturizer is a single ingredient, natural spray on oil for dry skin and it's ideal for teens with eczema. CapriClear was created by a dermatologist, and is an exceptionally pure, gentle and effective single-ingredient solution for even the most sensitive skin. What is that magical single ingredient? Coconut oil!
Fractionated coconut oil is also referred to as caprylic/capric triglyceride, and this is the purest and most stable form of coconut oil. It offers excellent skincare benefits without an overwhelming fragrance. Hypoallergenic CapriClear is not only colorless and odorless, but is also free of preservatives, additives, dyes, fragrances parabens, sulfates, PABA and other potential irritants commonly found in skin care products.
Angeline and I have both been using this moisturizer for about a month now, and we both like it! It offers just the right amount of moisturizer without actually making our skin oily, and it hasn't clogged our pores, which is something I was worried about with using an oil-based moisturizer. I don't know if we would want to use it during the summer, with all of the humidity we get in Miami, but it has been fantastic for using during the less-humid winter months!
Again, with two women in the house, we go through health and beauty products like nobody's business. I am always looking for ways to save money on shampoo and conditioner, hair styling products, toiletries and of course, items that I can take with me when I travel. CVS/Pharmacy recently sent me a few things to try out and we've been busy using them all up!
CVS/Pharmacy Haircare and Beauty Products
CVS Brand items typically cost 20-30% less than leading national brands, so if you have to buy as many products as I do on a monthly basis, you can really end up saving a lot! CVS/Pharmacy brand health and beauty items are available in everything from make up remover to sunscreen that are the perfect size for your travel bag, to dry shampoo and spray on moisturizer. They really do have it all covered!
The travel products they sent me fit perfectly into my overnight bag, though I don't take the liquid makeup remover with me - the wipes are good enough! Angeline uses it at home on a regular basis and she has basically staked her claim on it! ha! While I never really have a need for dry shampoo, it is nice to have on hand just in case, and the body wash and spray on moisturizer have been working just as well for me as the name brands I usually use.
If you have a CVS/ ExtraCare Rewards membership, you can save even more on health and beauty products at CVS/Pharmacy! It's a free program that allows you to save on items you buy anyway, and you can earn money back on your purchases to redeem for future purchases. You can sign up for the CVS ExtraCare Rewards Program here.
And last but certainly not least, the new Garnier Clean Blackhead Eliminating Scrub!
I received this as a Klout Perk, but I don't recall ever qualifying for it or hearing anything about it. It just showed up in the mail one day!
I am always looking for face washes, and I am partial to the ones with a little "grit," so to speak. As I've gotten older, my pores have gotten bigger and keeping my face blemish-free has become a concern. I've just started using this new face wash, but it seems to be working so far! I have a feeling that Angeline will be stealing this from me very soon...
Are you using anything new that is rocking your world? I want to hear about it!
I think the Cvs line of hbc items are just as good as the brand names are. I would love to try the kids toothpaste items.
I love the Angry Birds set! So cute! I'm in love with the CVS dry shampoo.
I actually did a facial scrub this morning. I love the way my face is feeling right now. It was very much needed.
Oh I keep getting bigger pores too. Even in my ears. :(. Icky.
