Fall is just around the corner, and Winter is now heading towards us at high speed. It’s no wonder that this can be a depressing time of year. If you want to escape the cold weather the best idea is to plan a vacation. When it comes to choosing the perfect destination for your winter break, it can be trickier than you might imagine. Some of the spots that you’d consider for a summer vacation don’t really work well during the cooler months of the year. So, if you’re looking for some inspiration, here are just four of the best places to arrange your winter getaway.

10 Ways To Welcome More Travel Into Your Life

1.Salt Lake City, Utah

If you’re up for some classic winter sports fun, there’s no better getaway spot for your vacation than Salt Lake City. Known locally as “ski city” thanks to its easy access to four of the top USA ski resorts, this Utah resort is ideal for snowboarders and skiers alike. The Olympic Park is the best place to go for bobsledding, and whether you’re travelling as a couple, on your own or with the kids in tow, you’re sure to have an amazing time.

2.Las Vegas, Nevada

Sin City is a wonderful vacation spot all year round, and even during the winter the climate here is mild and pleasant. There are so many exciting hotels, restaurants, casinos and entertainment options here that a winter break will be packed with something for everyone. Whether you’re here to play at the tables, explore museums or just relax and unwind at the hotel pool, you can rest assured that Vegas has everything you need for a memorable vacation.

3.Oahu, Hawaii

Even if it’s cold at home, Hawaii has great weather all year round. Oahu is a wonderful winter destination, especially if you’re a keen surfer. During February, the waves here can be enormous and the North Shore is the destination of choice for diehard surfers who come for the huge swells reaching as high as 30 feet! If you’re more interested in relaxing, the golden shores are a great place to unwind in the unseasonably warm weather, while whale watching tours are sure to be highlight of your break.

4.Paradise Island, Bahamas

Whether you’re travelling with your significant other or with the whole family, the Bahamas represents one of the very best destinations for a winter vacation. The temperatures here during the winter range up to the high 70s, making this a great spot to get away from the snow and ice at home. The Atlantis resort here is absolutely perfect for any kind of vacation, while the Marina Village next door offers outdoor dining and shopping that will make your winter break go with a swing. Visit Aquaventure while you’re here – the biggest open-air marine habitat in the world, enjoy relaxing on the sugary white sandy beaches and enjoy taking a dip in the swimming pools. The Bahamas is also the ideal winter destination for anyone who is a keen snorkeller or scuba diver.

A Traveler's Guide to Staying Healthy

The crystal clear waters surrounding the Bahamas ensure you have a clear vision underwater of all the amazing marine life that live in the Caribbean Sea. Although you could hire equipment here, it’s probably best to take your own if you want the best possible experience for the whole family. Make sure you know how to choose the best equipment to suit your needs – there are useful guidelines online and you can check them on Scubalist.pro.

These are just four of the best destinations for you to consider for your winter vacation this year. Whether you’re longing for some fun in the sun to forget about the cold and snow for a while or whether you want to make the most of the frosty climate by participating in popular winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, one of these four top spots is sure to be perfect for you. Whatever type of break you’re looking for, you can be sure that adding a getaway into your winter plans will add something truly special to this depressing time of year and give you something to look forward to once the fun and sun of summer are over. Enjoy your trip!
