    Find One-Stop Dorm Room Shopping at Dollar General

    This post brought to you by Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

    It's back to school season...and I know that I am not the only one who keeps looking at the calendar thinking, "where did the time go?" Angeline is about to turn 16 and will be off to college before I know it. I was asked to take Angeline to Dollar General to check out their awesome dorm room supplies and while it was super fun to take a little shopping trip together and imagine what it would be like if she was really about to head off to college...it was also a little sad.

    I don't want my baby to leave! {I'll probably change my tune about this the next time she throws a teenage temper tantrum!}
    We received a $25 Dollar General gift card our shopping trip and to be honest, I was surprised at just how much we were able to buy! While Angeline isn't actually heading off to college this year, many of the usual dorm room supplies were things she could use anyway, so the trip was extra fun for her!
    College students living on their own for the first time can be totally overwhelmed by just how much goes into every day life, I'm quite sure. Between classroom supplies, cookware, dishes, cleaning supplies, DG Dorm Essentials - even groceries and medicines! - I love that Dollar General gives college kids one simple place to find everything that they need!
    We bought a few regular classroom supplies like pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters, index cards and post it notes, which are basically the same in high school as they are in college.
    I was shocked to see that the little post it notes and index cards were only 50 cents each, and the pens and pencils were just $1 and the highlighters were just $2!
    And of course, when Angeline saw that there were dorm room decorations and supplies, she got all excited. Apparently, she wants to start practicing decorating NOW!
    Dollar General even had decorative duct tape, you know that tape that kids use to decorate everything from their binders to their lampshades? Angeline had a hard time deciding which one she wanted, especially since they were so inexpensive! At just $2 a roll, we will probably go back and buy more so that she can do some decorating in her room too!
    Aside from school supplies and room decorations, we also found lots of food items and housewares at Dollar General. I even bought some melatonin (a natural sleep aid that I use) and Excedrin at prices far less than at the pharmacy. Seriously, Dollar General is like a mini mass merchandise store, they had everything from sheets to hand soap, from milk to greeting cards.
    I can see Angeline shopping at a Dollar General when she's off on her own at college and being able to make her budget stretch farther than if she went to a grocery store or corner drugstore.
    We bought a ton of stuff at Dollar General, and you can too! In addition to the big red pillow and a few household items, we bought the last of Angeline's classroom supplies and some snacks!
    Whether your teens are heading off to college or you're just looking for one convenient place to buy all of your back to school and household supplies, check Dollar General out!
    Go ahead and follow Dollar General on Twitter and like Dollar General on Facebook too to stay up to date on all of their new inventory and any special deals they are offering all year long!

      My nephew is a freshman this year, and he also found quite a few great supplies at DG last week.
