Find Furniture That Fits Your Lifestyle AND Your Personality at Havertys

If you were a piece of furniture, what would you be? What furniture embodies your personality, your style, your spirit?

I was asked this question and it took me a while to come up with my answer. Who would have thought that it would be so hard to identify with a piece of furniture?

I was watching these funny Havertys commercials on YouTube featuring Emily, and my favorite was the Bring Your Child to Work Day, where she brought her “child” to work…spoiler alert, it was a chair.

You can watch all of Emily’s funny Havertys commercials on the Havertys YouTube channel.

When I tried to imagine myself as a piece of furniture, my first thought was a bookcase. I like holding knowledge. A lover of books, of beauty, I can see myself being a sleek bookcase, piled high with volumes of poetry, classic literature and knick knacks that I’ve brought home from around the country.

Or would I be a comfy, overstuffed chair? Somewhere for people to come and relax, feel comforted, maybe take a lazy afternoon nap after reading a good book. I love making people feel good about themselves, putting people at ease. I could very easily be that comfy chair that one retreats to on rainy afternoons, or after a long day at work when they need to unwind.

Nope, I’m totally a bookcase. I enjoy being a resource of information, I love reading and learning new things. I love shuffling ideas around until they make sense, until everything flows cohesively. I love giving people a place to come to share all of the things they’ve learned in life, a place to come to exchange ideas and inspiration.

Just like a bookcase, I love allowing people to come up to me and gleam useful information, hopefully to even be inspired. Maybe that’s why I love blogging so much!

Of course, being a homeowner with an obsession with decorating and changing up the look of my home, once I landed on the Havertys website, I couldn’t help but to look around…and fall in love with their gorgeous furniture! It reminded me that I have been wanting a bookcase forever, and the ones I saw on Havertys are beautiful and totally perfect for our decor!

If you’re in need of a little updating around your home, you can find a Havertys location near you using this Havertys store locator.
