I've found that married life is a series of highs and lulls - not lows, mind you, but lulls. It is SO easy to get stuck in a rut in a long marriage and completely forget about going out and spending time together. Outback Steakhouse knows all about that and they're on a mission to help couples steak out more time for date nights. Get it, Steak Out?
Hey, I never claimed to be a comedian. That's the best I got!
Outback Steakhouse has recently declared itself the Official Sponsor of Date Night and offering a special weekend deal that couples in need of a date night out can’t refuse!
Outback’s New American Romance study uncovered the hard truth behind America’s date night problem - people are too busy for the one they love. More than half of those surveyed said they need at least one date night per month to keep the spark alive, but shockingly 56% can’t remember their last date night! Unfortunately, Chris and I are definitely guilty of forgetting to go on date nights. Between my busy days at home running the blog and his increasingly demanding schedule at work, neither of us are in the mood for going out once dinnertime rolls around.
Well, we need to fix that - immediately!
Outback Steakhouse began offering a date night special that includes everyone's favorite Outback Steakhouse appetizer, a Bloomin Onion® to share, 8 oz. Outback Special® Sirloins and choice of freshly made side and signature salad (per person), a classic cheesecake to share for dessert and a special $10 off promotion for bottles of wine! You can choose between two 6 oz filets or one 8 oz sirloin and one 6 oz filet if you don't want to try the 8 oz. Outback Special® Sirloins. Just ask your server for the details before ordering!
For couples who have let their busy calendars get in the way of time together, Outback Steakhouse is asking them to share a #TBT photo on Facebook that captures that first spark, transporting them back to a moment when even a busy schedule couldn't come between them.
Now, Chris and I have been married for over 13 years and while that spark is still there, it's definitely not as HOT as it used to be - because duh, LIFE. Back in the early days of our marriage, it was red hot and all I wanted was to go on dates! My favorite dates were when we jumped in the car and went down to Key West for an overnight date night!
This Outback Steakhouse date night special ends on November 16, so hurry and take advantage this weekend! You deserve it!

I am not sure if I have ever been to Outback, maybe once a very long time ago. We are not good about going on dates either. We tend to stay in and watch a movie and we like to go out to breakfast on occasion.

My son has play rehearsal from 5-9 tomorrow and my hubby and I were going to a movie and dinner, maybe we should make our dinner at Outback!
Crystal
Ohhh, the Bloomin Onion! I haven't had one of those in forever! I guess since it's date night I could share, but I would really like one all to myself.
