Flossing is the most important part of my oral healthcare routine, but guess what? I really can’t stand using dental floss.  My teeth don’t have a lot of room between them for the floss to fit through, so I always end up making my gums bleed. So whats a girl to do? Skip an important part of my daily dental healthcare routine? Considering that I am firmly attached to all of my teeth, that isn’t an option. Thankfully there is a product that can help me: the Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser – it offers the ultimate cleaning experience without dental floss!

SONY DSC

Clinically proven to improve gum health versus regular dental floss, the Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser leaves my mouth feeling  fresh and clean, and it even looks pretty sitting on my bathroom counter! I was a little nervous that this wouldn’t work for me, as my teeth are spaced very close together, but with 10% more water pressure than other water flossers, it actually did a great job of getting between my teeth!

I have been using the water flosser for a few weeks now, and it has been much easier to practice a better oral hygiene routine knowing that I can use the water flosser instead of dental floss. The Waterpik water flosser was clinically proven to be 50% more effective for improving gum health compared to regular dental floss, and proven to remove up to 99.9% of plaque from treated areas in 3 seconds. So not only did I find a way to floss without making my gums bleed, but I am actually practicing better oral hygiene now! The pulse moderation system offers Cleaning and Gum Massage modes and there are 10 pressure settings to meet your water flossing needs. That means that my entire family can use the Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser, which is extremely important because Chris suffers from periodontal issues, and Angeline has to pay extra special attention to her oral care routine now that she wears Invisalign aligners.

Angeline was actually the first one to use our new water flosser when it arrived; I came home from running errands to find this on the bathroom counter…

I guess she couldn’t wait for me to get home! Ordinarily I wouldn’t include a photo that was so messy in a blog post, but I thought this was a great way to show you just how easy it was to figure out how to work it – Angeline didn’t even need to read the instruction manual, she just followed the directions on the back of the box!

The Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser  features an On/Off water control on handle to make it even easier to use; two Water Flossing Modes and includes 7 Water Flosser Tips. There is even a  one-minute timer with a 30-second pacer, so there’s no guesswork involved and you know exactly how long you need to water floss of all areas of your teeth.

How do you feel about flossing? Do you think you would floss more often if you had an awesome Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser?

I floss twice a day, but my hubby only does it a few times a week. I think that the Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser may be especially good for my husband since I think that he would like it and it would be on the counter reminding him to use it!

When my nine year old got braces this year I knew flossing was going to be a nightmare so I invested in a Waterpik. Best thing we ever did. Her teeth are amazing.
