If you’ve been following along with me on social media the last week, then you know that Angeline and I have been sailing on a Carnival Sunshine Mediterranean cruise, which was a complimentary press trip. We’ve had ports of call in France, Italy and Croatia; and a fun-filled week exploring the newly-renovated Carnival Sunshine cruise ship.
What a delight! We had a balcony stateroom, which was the perfect oasis of relaxation and comfort when we tired ourselves out at our ports of call or after long afternoons by the Beach Pool on the Lido Deck.
We dined at the specialty restaurants, Fahrenheit 555, Cucina del Capitano, and Jiji’s Asian Kitchen (these restaurants have an additional charge but are totally worth it!), stuffed ourselves full of Guy Fieri’s famous cheeseburgers, freshly made-to-order burritos at the Blue Iguana Cantina and hit that 24 hour self serve ice cream machine more times than I care to admit…
We even hung out at Waterworks, the amazing water park right on the ship! Not to mention playing games in The Warehouse, dancing the night away at the Blue Iguana parties at night, and catching the awesome Showtime show, which is a broadway style show right here on the Carnival Sunshine. Shows featured during our cruise were a Disco show, a Latin night and a Motown evening! There’s always fun to be had on the Carnival Sunshine!
I wish that I could book the Carnival Sunshine Mediterranean cruise again, because once just isn’t enough! The thing is, the Carnival Sunshine is leaving its Barcelona port in November. It’s heading to the port of New Orleans, where it will be sailing through April, and then it’s off to a new home at Port Canaveral.
During a press meeting I attended last week, I found that Carnival Cruise Lines will be sending their ships to the United States for a while – at least a year – so, if you want to sail the Mediterranean on the Carnival Sunshine, THE TIME IS NOW. Take advantage of the incredible summer sales going on at Carnival.com and experience all that Carnival Cruise Lines has to offer before it’s too late!
