Shopping for teenagers can be a bit of a hassle - even when the kids are required to wear uniforms to school, like at Angeline's school. Sure, they're required to wear a certain color of polo shirt, but beyond that, the sky is the limit when it comes to what articles of clothing (and accessories) they kids need when the end of summer vacation rolls around and the first school bell is due to ring. I took Angeline to Sawgrass Mills last week to take advantage of not only their awesome outlet mall prices, but incredible sales in Angeline's favorite stores...and maybe to pick up a thing or two for mom too! With Back to School Sales Tax Holiday week happening right now, this is the perfect time to head to Sawgrass Mills to make the most of your back to school shopping!
Sawgrass Mills is always a great place to go shopping - it's the first place I go with my girlfriends when we need a "girl's day" of shopping and lunch. But taking the kids there to go back to school shopping? It's really our one-stop shop for all things back to school!
The Back to School Sales Tax Holiday happens every August and helps families make the most of their back to school shopping. This year, it ends on 8/16/15. The tax-free savings applies to all of your purchases - under $100 for a single item - on clothing, footwear, certain accessories, school supplies...even computers! Restrictions apply, so click here for all of the details.
So, why Sawgrass Mills for your back to school shopping? Oh, let me count the ways they're the perfect place to do ALL of your shopping!
First of all, there are SO MANY STORES to choose from! Sawgrass Mills has all of Angeline's favorite stores, including the largest Forever 21 store in South Florida! There are stores like Target to get your school supplies, Levis, Express, Aeropostale, Gap, Banana Republic - all of your staples are together under one roof! The best part about this selection is that some are Outlet Stores and some are regular stores - and Sawgrass Mills has exclusive stores that you won't even find in other outlet malls!
You can also get extra savings on top of the deep discounts you'll find in stores by picking up a $10 Coupon Book at the information desk. There are fantastic money-saving opportunities, like $5 off a $25 purchase, $25 off a $100 purchase - all for your favorite stores. Seriously, this coupon booklet is THICK. It makes mama VERY happy when it comes to back to school shopping!
While I did a little shopping of my own at BeBe and Victoria's Secret (both had amazing deals, by the way!), we took Angeline to Levi's, Express, Gap, the Nike Store, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Vans, Aeropostale and then back to Express...what can I say, she really loved the Express Factory Store!
We bought new shoes at Vans, which is one of the most important items on any teenage girl's back to school shopping list, especially when they wear uniforms and everyone kind of looks alike.
Next up was one of Angeline's favorite stores, Aeropostale, where you can find AMAZING sales at Sawgrass Mills! Angeline picked up a few polo shirts, which just so happen to be the exact color that her school requires, and are half the price of the ones they sell at the uniform shop recommended by the school! Since they're allowed to wear leggings at her school, we took advantage of the sale there too!
While not technically on the back to school shopping list, I let Angeline buy a pair of sunglasses too...her very first "fancy" sunglasses. This kid is so spoiled...
Ah, Gap....have you ever worn a pair of Gap jeans? Angeline saw the display and while the Gap wasn't on our list of stores to hit, we made a detour!
Head down to Sawgrass Mills for your back to school shopping - even if you miss the Back to School Tax Free Holiday, you'll still find everything that you need to get the kids ready to the new school year and save a ton of money!

I wish more places would do a tax free week! That is super smart, and a win for local economy!

That is so much nicer than our malls. They wouldn't dare put carpeting in the walkways - it wouldn't last very long!

I've never came across any tax free weekend events in my state, makes me sad. Looks like you had a blast shopping and got lots of great stuff.

I'm in Florida but on the other coast. I need to hit east and hit this mall! You have much better stores than us!
