Ben Affleck is one of Hollywood’s most famous actors. After landing huge roles in films such as Batman and Good Will Hunting, it’s fair to say we’ve seen a lot of Affleck on our screens. What people might not know is that Affleck is a long-time fan of Poker…Do you remember Ben Affleck in these movies?
Hitting up casinos in Las Vegas and even winning the California State Poker Championship in 2004, Affleck is a fan of many table games. We’ve seen Affleck in the news plenty of times for his antics in casinos, including his removal from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas after counting cards, which then sparked future removals from other casinos such as the Caesar Windsor Hotel and Casino in Ontario. Looks like he’ll be sticking to online casinos such as: https://casino.paddypower.com
But what about when Affleck isn’t hitting the headlines for the latest superhero blockbuster? There are plenty of roles that Affleck has played which have gone under the media’s radar. Here are three films which vary dramatically in target audiences, but all involve Affleck at his best.

If you’re a fan of intricate story lines and mind-boggling thrillers, then this film will be sure to catch your attention. Affleck plays husband Nick Dunne whilst his wife Amy is played by actress Rosamund Pike.
The story line is quite dark and with Amy faking her own death/disappearance, and framing her husband. Filled with multiple twists and turns, we see Affleck’s character reveal his cheating ways that spurred Amy’s revenge. Nick is the husband who stopped caring and paying attention to his wife unknowing that he married a psychopath who refused to be treated as such.
Without ruining the two story lines that run alongside one another, they both have you believing they’re true, only to find out someone is lying. You’ll have to find out who by watching the film.
He’s Just Not That into You
A classic chick-flick tale, with people in love left right and center, or so they think. There are multiple story lines intertwined in this film with an all-star cast including, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Aniston. Affleck’s character Neil is in a long-term relationship with Aniston’s character Beth.
They’ve been dating for seven years, they live together, and know each other inside out, but Neil refuses to get married. Beth’s dream is to get married to Neil, but the constant tension leads them to split.
In this film, Affleck is the perfect partner. Attentive, appreciative and ever so doting to all of his partner’s needs, except that one. If you’re looking for an easy-watch film with romantic gestures and some pretty sound dating advice, this is the one for you.
Yet again, Affleck switches up his character for this film. The Accountant, at first might seem like a dull title, boring in fact. But viewers will soon realise that Affleck’s character Christian Wolff is no regular numbers whiz.
A man who is on the Autistic spectrum and suffers from many mental health issues, but has found a way to cope with life through numbers and rituals. After his mother left, his military father raised him and his brother with the theory that the only way to cope with problems is to fight your way out of them.
Christian became a fighting machine, who would curb his issues through loud music and strobe lighting. One thing that always came naturally was numbers. Becoming one of the most intelligent accountants in the country, Christian was hired by clients who walked in the dark and was paid extortionate amounts in untraceable ways.
A great action film that shows Christian getting into some murky waters, but his skills remain as impressive as ever. If you love gunfights and clever story lines, this is the film for you.
