On August 6th the Disney animated film The Sword In The Stone is being released on Blu-ray to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of this family favorite. My family received a complimentary copy of Disney’s The Sword In the Stone 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray Combo Pack from Disney, and we were so excited about the release, especially because of the bonus features – which include a new alternative opening: Where Wart Meets Merlin. How exciting is that?!

I am so happy to have a copy of Disney’s The Sword In the Stone 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray Combo Pack, as this is one title that we never did get on DVD. I haven’t seen it in ages! To go from seeing it on VHS decades ago (yes, I am dating myself here) to seeing it in bright, crispy definition on Blu-ray…well, that just makes me so happy! The alternate ending was fantastic, and the bonus shorts were equally awesome. I don’t want to give too much away, but I’ll tell you that my favorite bonus feature was the Brave Little Tailer bonus short! Don’t miss it!

If you are looking for a great family film that will delight your children and bring back childhood memories for you, pick up a copy of Disney’s The Sword In the Stone 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray Combo Pack on August 6th!
