My niece Roxanna is absolutely infatuated with Disney Junior shows, especially Sofia the First! Sofia is such a little darling and Roxanna just loves watching her and her adventures. I was offered a review copy of Sofia the First Enchanted Feast and knew that Roxanna would be thrilled to add a new title to her Sofia the First Collection, so of course I said yes. I am totally working on my Aunt of the Year nomination.
In Sofia the First Enchanted Feast, the wicked fairy, Miss Nettle, disguises herself as a powerful sorceress and attempts to steal Sofia’s magical amulet.
With the help of Snow White, Sofia has to learn to trust her instincts and speak up when she suspects someone is not who or what they say they are.
This is a lesson that I think is really important for kids to learn at a young age. While it's important for children to be respectful of adults, there is a really fine line between teaching kids to never be disrespectful and respectfully voice their concerns. It was done in a way that kids can really relate to it, which is one of the reasons why Sofia the First is so popular with kids - and parents alike!
