If there's one thing that my friends and family and I enjoy together, it's a good party. So when I was asked to host a little shindig with my family and friends to introduce the new NUANCE Salma Hayek line at CVS/Pharmacy, I was happy to oblige!

I received a ton of samples for my party and had a blast getting everything ready! To be honest, I didn't even realize quite how extensive the NUANCE Salma Hayek line was until I began sorting through all of the products to get my goody bags ready for the party!

So how did Salma Hayek come up with her own beauty product line? It all comes down to family...

I was especially happy to see all of the NUANCE Salma Hayek hair care products - I gave the Blue Agave Curl Cream a try before the party and I loved it! It gave my curls great definition while keeping them soft and touchable. It contains blue agave extract that softens and moisturizes for stronger, healthier hair, and the Color-Lock Technology with UVB absorber prevents sun damage, protects against heat styling, and preserves hair's strength and color.

Obviously, living in Miami, we spend a lot of time outdoors and sun damage prevention is pretty important when it comes to our hair! It also contains a HydraBond Technology with Meadowfoam Seed Extract that helps damaged hair, prevents breakage, controls frizz and seals in moisture for soft, shiny curls. It's basically the perfect hair care product for me!

Angeline is a big fan of mousse and tried the NUANCE Salma Hayek Lift & Shine Volumizing Mousse. While some mousses make her hair really brittle, the NUANCE Salma Hayek mousse had the perfect amount of hold without being so hard! Of course Angeline and I couldn't just keep the NUANCE Salma Hayek beauty products for ourselves, so I got busy filling up the goody bags for my NUANCE Salma Hayek party!

One of the biggest hits of the party was the AM/PM Anti-Aging Super Eye Treatment. It's a vitamin-rich treatment that hydrates, moisturizes and does a great job protecting that sensitive, delicate skin around the eyes while reducing the signs of aging. With most of the ladies at my party over the age of 30, you can imagine that this product was a hit! You just dab it on with your fingertips and gently pat it in until it's absorbed.

I think we were all pretty psyched to try the blotting papers because they're absorbent to help remove excess oil and shine without smudging all the pretty makeup we'd just put on!

The addition of tea tree leaf extract leaves a little bit of a fresh fragrance, which was an unexpected bonus!

My sister Dawn is super lucky in that her nails grow incredibly long and strong.

Of course she dug right in and found the nail polishes! The NUANCE Salma Hayek Nail Lacquers are brand new to the line, with over 20 colors available!

With everything from sparkly shimmers to deep reds, there's something that works with everyone's personal style!

We had a blast painting our nails with the new NUANCE Salma Hayek nail lacquers - that's right, right in my living room!

While I personally don't wear a lot of foundation - it always seems to melt right off my face because I sweat so much during the summer - Katherine was thrilled to try out the Flawless Finish Foundation and snag my extra bottle!

It goes on so smooth, it's no wonder they called it "Flawless Finish!" The Light Warm blended right in and matched her skin tone perfectly.
