Guess who got new shoes right before her trip to Toronto? This gal! I was just going to bring my trusty old flip flops, but these comfortable sandals were a much needed option! Aren't they cute?!
I had just recently found out about the new Cushe line of comfort footwear when I was offered a pair to review for Rebel Chick's Journey. As I happen to walk a lot during my vacations - which is good, because I drive everywhere when I am at home - I knew that these shoes were a must have to bring along to Toronto. Especially since my traveling companion warned me that we would only be walking or taking the streetcar while visiting, because our hosts work during the day and were unable to leave us their car.
She was NOT exaggerating. I walked SO MUCH during my trip that my calves were actually sore when I returned home last week! I really think I would have been in a lot of pain if I hadn't brought these Cushe sandals along. I was hoping that they would be a little more...formal? When I picked them out online, they seemed a little more dressy, so I thought I would be able to wear them out at night. My friends and I spent our nights in hotel lounges and clubs, so they were not dressy enough to wear. However, they were absolutely perfect for wearing during the day!
The upper material is a soft full grain leather straps with a breathable stretch body, and the footbed is a suede leather. I think what makes them so comfortable is the footbed and mid-sole, which is a ultra soft Phylon molded EVA compound and the fact that they have an anatomical shape for a natural fit. They really do fit like a glove and it felt like I was walking on a cloud, even after running around downtown Toronto for SIX HOURS one day!
Cushe Footwear has more than woman's sandals, of course. They also carry men and women's shoes, boots and flip flops in several different collections: Urban Safari, Universal Traveler, and Coastal Supremacy. My Manuka Strip sandals are from the Coastal Supremacy line, but all three lines are really cool and unique!
What really sets apart Cushe Footwear from the other "comfort" brands is the fact that they are priced for every budget. Prices range from $25 to $80 - so there is something for everyone!
