While I am not exactly known as a fashion or beauty blogger, I am often approached by brands in the fashion industry because...well, I am a human being, a wearer of clothes and I would really like to think that people can appreciate my sense of style: I tend to dress pretty classic, in the "Girl Next Door" kind of look, but I love statement pieces and shaking things up when I find pieces of clothing that really speak to me! I am not a follower of trends because you know what happens to trends? THEY END. Then you're left with clothing that is irrelevant and nothing to wear! Premier women's fashion brand, Misook, is all about helping women just like find sophisticated, stylish clothes that stand the test of time. I mean, really, who has time chasing down the latest trends? I just want to look great, all the time!
Misook focuses crafting exceptional knitwear, all inspired by real women just like you and I!
The Story Behind Misook
Misook Doolittle created the brand in 1985 with the intention of creating knitwear for the woman who never wants to sacrifice sophistication for comfort. She began by hand-knitting one-of-a-kind pieces in her own home, and soon enough, people began to fall in love with her effortlessly stylish designs - thus, the brand was born!
I've been browsing through the Misook website and found so many pieces that I am falling in love with!
Everything created by Misook is machine washable and wrinkle resistant, which is just perfect for us busy travelers! I rely upon wrinkle-resistant clothing while traveling because let's face it: who wants to iron in their hotel room when they're rushing to get to an event on time? These tops are perfect for my press trips - I really try to dress the part when I am in a corporate environment, but still stay true to my casual style. This Misook Cable Knit Vest is one of my favorites - I am thinking of those trips to the West Coast, when I am always cold, but it's not quite cold enough to wear a sweater or jacket. We all know how cold those meeting rooms can be!
Another really fun top is this Misook Mixed Media Tank, it's something I would wear with leggings during the warmer months and jeans for chilly weather. It's one of those pieces that you can dress up too, just add some great statement piece jewelry and heels!
Of course, either of these tops would look great with the Misook Seam Detail Legging, especially with a cute pair of shoes!
In addition to being machine washable and wrinkle-resistant, Misook clothing is also fade resistant AND stretch resistant. That means that while you're mixing and matching all of these great pieces, you never have to worry about something wearing out, or these lovely black clothes turning grey on you!
This Misook Tank with Tie Neck is also great for business trips, but also lovely to wear out with jeans or a pencil skirt with high boots for a night on the town in Miami! I love the simple but elegant look, it sums up my style perfectly!
Every professional woman knows that you need at least ONE nice skirt for business trips. Sometimes we just get tired of slacks and jeans...that's where this beautiful Misook Gored Skirt comes into play!
I'm just drooling over all of these lovely pieces, and they really have something for everyone, with flattering, non-clingy items that come in sixes XS to 3X! Go check out Misook for yourself and let me know what you think! Right now, you can save 25% with a special promo code MSK8591 it is valid across the entire Misook site through the end of December! I totally need someone to pick out outfits I can mix and match. I am the worse when it comes to that.

I love that look with the straight lines! I've never heard of Misook either, but glad it's on my radar now! I love those Seam Detail Leggings.

Misook makes such cute styles for women. The outfits all look trendy and comfortable but I love those leggings the most! With the seam up the front my legs look so much thinner and even longer.

This is the first I've heard of Misook, what a neat way to have a good wardrobe option. I will have to look into Misook because I need a new wardrobe!
