Coming home from a long vacation is always bitter sweet...I am always happy to be home, in my own bed, with my family and my pets again. But I inevitably begin to come down off that traveling high, life returns to normal and I want to travel again.
I start feeling that sense of restlessness.
No more posh hotel beds, fancy dinners in restaurants I never visit while at home...no more spa treatments!
No. More. Spa Treatments.
Ugh.
I left 100+ degree weather in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado yesterday morning and arrived in Miami to 84 degree weather...and a whole lot of rain.
It's quite a shock to the system to leave the bright, sunny skies of Colorado and come home to gloomy Miami! As I sat here on the sofa, staring out at the rain, I realized that I need something to brighten up the house.
My go to is always a nice bouquet. What is it about flowers that always cheers me up?
I started browsing flowers.org for ideas on what I'd like the best and settled in with a nice cup of my favorite D&D Strawberry Shortcake iced coffee and I'm already feeling a little better.
I should probably invest in an industrial sized package of coffee because it's officially hurricane season in South Florida and we have a lot of rainy, gloomy days ahead of us this summer!
Now, if only all of my suitcases would unpack themselves and the laundry fairy would make a visit...

We had tons of rain here today. I'm going to Colorado next month but just for a day, have never been so it should at least be a new experience.

If you find that laundry fairy... or even better a CLEANING fairy, could you send her to my place? =)
