I'm the first to say that I need to work on my ability to be thankful. Between the stresses of my job and personal life, it's tough to be thankful. I tend to focus on what's wrong instead of what's going well. My dogs are the one thing that I always remember to be thankful for.
Be Thankful for Your Furry Best Friend
Man's best friend is more than a saying. It's a total fact. Everyday, my dogs remind me of just how true this saying is. They make it easy to be thankful for them. Our dogs bring us so much joy and companionship, we should remember how lucky we are to have them! Purina feels the same way I do. They know that our dogs make life better for us. That's why from November 2nd through Thanksgiving, Purina is running the #dogthanking program. It's devoted to the idea that we should be thankful for the four legged friends in our lives.
#dogthanking is all about loving our dogs and helping make other dogs' lives better. When you log on to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and tell the world why you love your dog, you'll be helping other dogs in need as well. It's as simple as something we do everyday on social media - posting a video or picture. We all love sharing photos of our dogs anyway, right? I know I do! Bailey and Toby are so adorable and sweet, I love sharing their sweet little furry faces with the world!
Simply share a video or photo of your dog to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using the hashtag #dogthanking and tagging @Purina, and you'll be helping dogs in need and have the chance to see your pooch on television. For every original picture shared to social media, Purina will donate one dollar to the AKC Canine Health Foundation up to $75,000.00. That's a massive amount of money to help further the health of our four legged friends. In addition to that, your video, photo, or post may be shown during the National Dog Show Presented by Purina.
Be Thankful for Your Dog and Help Other Dogs
My dogs are one area of my life where I don't have to remind myself to be thankful. They remind me every day. If you feel the same, I encourage you to take part in Purina's #dogthanking program. Post a video or photo to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter tagging @Purina and using the hashtag #dogthanking, and you'll be reminding the world to be thankful for their dogs. You'll also be helping other dogs.
And remember to watch the National Dog Show Presented by Purina on Thanksgiving day. It's a noon in all time zones. Who knows. You might even see your pooch on the air!
