Not too long ago, I was watching an episode of the Millionaire Matchmaker and got a good laugh over a Millionaire that was totally in love with the color pink. She actually talked about Hello Kitty in her interview...and to her potential dates at her mixer.
Can I live in your Hello Kitty house? Pretty Please?
Of course I watched the season wrap-up of the show and was pleased to see Robin, the Hello Kitty-loving Millionaire, was on the list of special guests...and I was even more pleased when she announced that she is building a home in the Hamptons...
In a Hello Kitty theme.
Dude, a Hello Kitty themed house.
That's right. A pink Hello Kitty house. In the Hamptons.
If you don't know this about me, I am actually a Hello Kitty fan myself. Do I love Hello Kitty enough to build a home in her honor?
Maybe.
My friend Alison at BeingAlison.com found a Hello Kitty-themed maternity ward in Taiwan, so I don't think that a Hello Kitty house in the United States would be all that outrageous.
In fact, I think we kind of need it. We can't have other countries out-doing us in cuteness, can we?
Side note: If I ever get pregnant again, I'm moving to Taiwan to have my baby in that awesome Hello Kitty maternity ward.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find any photos of the house online, but I did find something else....a Hello Kitty house in Shanghai!
Look at that...I am imagining that Robin's Hello Kitty house will be something like that, only more grand - she is a millionaire after all, and I recall seeing pictures of her pink apartment in NYC - the Pink Palace, she calls it - so I can only assume her new home will be grand.
I'm jealous. I want a pink Hello Kitty house. Or even a Hello Kitty-designated room in a normal kitty-free house. My husband would never go for that...he isn't exactly a fan of the color pink!
But I wonder if I could get away with a Hello Kitty family room set like this one?
That's subtle, right? Maybe he wouldn't even notice the gigantic Hello Kitty head stick out from behind the tv!
Hey, a girl's gotta have dreams.
Alison
I love it! I wonder if that will raise or bring down property prices in the Hamptons. I can see the rich folks turning their nose at it.
Jenn
I can just imagine the neighbor's reaction when they realize what is being built!

Oh my goodness I adore this. I love pink and Hello Kitty. I may have to do Zoe's room just to get a feel for a Hello Kitty room in my home haha.
Jenn
When my daughter was still younger, I did her room in Hello Kitty...unfortunately, when she was about 7, she realized her room was bright pink and rebelled against me. LOL Now it's blue!

My girls would be excited to have a bedroom like that!

Ha this would be like living in a migraine mansion. If you keep your eyes open for too long you will only see pink when you leave

This is awesome -- my four year old is in the office with me and is LOVING those pictures. I've heard the question, "Can I have that Hello Kitty room" at least a dozen times. She adores HK.
