Your smile is one of the first things that people notice when they meet you. Yet many struggle with smiles and open-mouth laughs due to a lack of confidence - usually caused by an unhappiness with one's teeth. I can definitely relate to that; as a frequent coffee-drinker and a history of smoking and drinking soda, my teeth aren't exactly the pearly whites I'd like them to be! Over the past few years, I've really struggled to make oral hygiene a bigger part of our daily routine. I've always been a "don't forget to brush your teeth!" kind of mom, but as I've grown a little older, I've realized that there are so many other things my family needs to do to have healthy teeth. There's using the right toothpaste, flossing, choosing the right mouthwash, and of course, something that many overlook: using the right toothbrush. This post is sponsored by Lunchbox. All opinions are my own.

I recently received a Philips Sonicare Series 2 toothbrush, which is available for purchase at Walmart. After just three days of using it in the mornings and in the evenings, I can already feel a difference and am left smacking my forehead with frustration - why didn't I think of this sooner?

WIN a $1000 Walmart Gift Card in the Phillips Sonicare Sweepstakes #SonicareSmiles

The Philips Sonicare Series 2 toothbrush is simple to use, as it works just like a regular toothbrush. Just make sure to plug it in as soon as you purchase it so that the battery is nice and charged when it comes time to brush those pearly whites! Once the battery is fully charged, you'll see up to two weeks of battery life! There's a 2-color battery charge indicator so that you always know when you have a full battery and when it needs a charge. That's much better than those disposable electric toothbrushes; you know the ones that require batteries...and then you have to worry about recycling the batteries, buying more batteries, etc. This is a much more economical and environmentally-friendly option!

The Philips Sonicare Series 2 toothbrush removes up to six times more tooth-decaying plaque than a manual toothbrush. It's no wonder that Philips is the number 1 brand recommended by dental professionals!

This is a super smart toothbrush, with an Easy-start button that slowly increases power over the first 14 uses, so that the switch from a manual toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare Series 2 is easy! It's so smart that it actually alerts you when you're brushing too hard!

WIN a $1000 Walmart Gift Card in the Phillips Sonicare Sweepstakes #SonicareSmiles

Philips also makes the Philips Sonicare For Kids, which was specifically designed with features that are child-friendly. It's a great way to help your children develop healthy brushing habits while they're still young. Think of all of the money you'll save on dentists!

The Philips Sonicare for Kids comes with eight fun stickers to decorate their toothbrush and has a customized brush. You can even download a FREE Brush Busters app in the Apple Store to help get your kids more excited about brushing their teeth!

    Seriously...there's an app for that!

The Philips Sonicare For Kids is 75% more effective than a manual toothbrush when brushing those hard-to-reach places in little mouths, and is available in standard and compact sizes. Similar to the Philips Sonicare Series 2 toothbrush for adults, the Sonicare for Kids has an easy start feature that slowly increases the timer so that kids can get used to using it properly. While the adult version reaches maximum capacity after 14 days, the Philips Sonicare for Kids increases over a period of 90 days and has a recommended brushing time of two minutes - which is recommended by dentists. It also has two intensity settings.

I use Sonicare and will never go back to anything else. It cleans so well, and the charge lasts forever it seems. Love it!

That's extremely cool that it auto adjusts over the first week of uses to switch you over from your manual tooth brush! How smart!

The Sonicare 2 sounds like a great toothbrush. I'll keep it in mind. My current battery operated toothbrush is on its last legs.

Ever since using Sonicare.... the hygenists have no work to do.. well, other than to tell me.. keep up more with your flossing in some spots! Other than that- wow. My teeth are wonderful. Once my sonicare broke, and I only lasted two weeks with a regular brush and I could not stand it, I went out and replaced it. I bought one of these for a grandkid, she had a cavity at a checkup, and I said YOU NEED this! I want to buy every one a Sonicare. I hope I win! I have a LOT of grandkids!

Because of a Sonicare I get way better results at the dentist when I go for cleanings. It removes so much plaque that I have to spend far less time having the hygienist scrape it off my teeth.

I have always used a regular toothbrush, but I have been a bit curious about using these type of toothbrushes. The price usually gets me. Maybe someday, though!
