Growing up in Miami, I haven't had many opportunities to see snow. Skiing? The only thing I know about skiing is the kind you do in the ocean on a jet ski! We did send Angeline to New Mexico for New Year's last year and she spent an entire day snowboarding with her uncle and his friends, and she loved it! I wish they'd thought to take photos - especially since it was her first time, and very possibly her last - but everyone left their phones in the car because they were afraid they would get damaged. Looking at the winning photo from the Inghams Facebook Best Ever Photo Competition last year, I can only imagine that Angeline saw a few sights like this!
A Facebook user by the name of Norma Ditchburn won second place in the competition with this gorgeous photo. Isn't it just lovely?
I was just scrolling through the finalists's photos and I have to tell you, they're so beautiful that I think I might have to try my hand at winter sports sometime soon!
Inghams Ski Holiday runs ski and snowboarding tours to some of the top resorts, so these photos really represent some of the best winter scenery out there!
"Aurorawesome" Says James Williams "The photo was taken in February this year, on our first night in Ylläsjärvi. I couldn't believe my luck when I jokingly said I was going outside to see the Northern Lights, and there they were!"
I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights! This photo won fourth place, though I'm surprised it didn't rank a little higher. All of the photos were so amazing, I am sure the judging panel had a difficult time making their decisions!
Les Blain won first place in the competition with this incredible photo! "Levi is a beautiful place in the winter with snow covered trees and floodlit slopes. Someday I hope to catch the elusive northern lights."
I can't imagine anything more exciting that snowboarding at sunset or sunrise - the rich hues of the sky reflecting off the pristine white snow - it's no wonder this photo won first place!
