Have y’all heard about Barefoot Refresh, the new offering from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly? Barefoot Refresh is Barefoot’s own take on a wine spritzer and it’s flavorful, refreshing and lightly carbonated. Because really, who has the time to go through the trouble of making a spritzer? Just opening a bottle of Barefoot Refresh and pouring is so much easier!
Barefoot Refresh comes in four wine blends for just $8!
- Crisp White: Riesling blended with Chenin Blanc
- Sweet White: Pinot Grigio blended with Moscato
- Summer Red: Pinot Noir Rosé blended with Moscato
- Perfectly Pink: White Grenache blended with Chenin Blanc and Moscato
Now, I do love me a red wine, but lately I’ve found that whites are just more fun to drink and they can really go with just about any meal. I tried the Barefoot Perfectly Pink and Crisp White, and they were both totally awesomesauce! Though, I liked the Perfectly Pink more for drinking on its own, and the Crisp White for drinking with meals.
Barefoot Refresh Perfectly Pink has a hint of raspberry and cherries, with the delicate smell of mandarin orange and peaches. I love sipping a glass while reading in the afternoons, or just sitting with friends chatting on the weekends.
The Barefoot Refresh Crisp White also has a hint of fruitiness, with pear, melon and lemon-lime. I like to drink this in the evenings on the rocks, especially with dinner. It’s so light and refreshing!
Barefoot Refresh Wine Making Notes
The Perfectly Pink comes from White Grenache blended with Chenin Blanc and Moscato, while the Crisp White comes from Chenin Blanc blended with Riesling. It’s no wonder I like these wines so much, Moscato and Rieslings are my favorite kinds of wines! Each one has a 9.0% alcohol level, and the white has 3.3% residual sugar, while the Perfectly Pink has 7.5%.
Barefoot Refresh are the Perfect Wine for Anyone, Anytime!
I think that either of these wines would make a great accompaniment to a girl’s night in, or to bring along to an afternoon picnic. At just $8 a bottle, Barefoot Refresh would be perfect to serve at dinner parties, to bring as a hostess gift when attending a party, or just to visit with friends. Because the bottles have twist tops, there’s no cork that requires you to bring along a cork screw!
Something about these light, crisp flavors just scream summertime to me, and I think they’re a great way to keep the feel of summer going all year long! I can just see Chris and I toting a bottle to the beach with some cheese to watch the sunset!
Winemaker Jennifer Wall crafted Barefoot Refresh to supply another wine style to enjoy, especially during times when some may have opted out of wine in the past. Because these are not rich, hearty wines, their lightness will really appeal to a wider audience. While not everyone might want a dry red wine or something like that, everyone can enjoy Barefoot Refresh because they are so light, and their flavors and simple and tasty so that people who aren’t used to drinking wine can still enjoy them!
