Although Angeline is long past the diaper wearing stage (thankfully) everytime I visit with my nephew, Cooper - or as well call him, "Chewy," since his middle name is Chewbacca - I can't help but be taken back. There is something about that fresh baby smell that brings on a wave of nostalgia. I'm also impressed by the way technology has changed the landscape of baby products but there will always be some classic staples that never go out of style. Not only do these products never go out of style but they make for a happy mom and a happy baby too!
Tips For A Happy Baby
Love. Never understimate the power of loving parents and family to spoil a baby. Scientist have proven that a loving environment is crucial for babies brain development and emotional growth. Give them lots of hugs and kisses and physical contact - babies thrive on this nurturing contact!
The classic lullabies. Isn't it unique how lullabies are passed from generation to generation? No one ever had to really sit down and teach them to us, they're just something we learned growing up because we heard them so often. A few of the classics include: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star; Home on the Range; Rock A Bye Baby; and Hush, Little Baby.
A Swing. Remember when baby swings had to be cranked in order to operate? Yeah, I do, because that's the kind of swing we had for Angeline when she was a baby in the 90s! Parents would bicker over whose turn it was to get up turn the crank. Now they plug into the wall, run off batteries and even hook up to our phones. I am so jealous...
A teething toy. Teething can be such a miserable time for the entire household but especially for baby. A cool teething toy, especially one that can be put in the freezer, helps keep baby happy.
Speaking of teething, it's been known to bring about some of the worst diaper rashes. A dry, rash-free bum is definitely something to keep baby happy. Which makes diaper rash creme a diaper bag staple. I recently received a package of the new Aquaphor Baby Diaper Rash Cream to give my sister and brother in law for little Chewy...and the twins that my sister is currently pregnant with!!!
Use a great diaper rash ointment. Did you know Aquaphor Healing Ointment has been around for 90 years?
It's one of those great little products that can do so much and they're prediatrician recommended Diaper Rash Cream is proven to be just as effective as other brands. It's preservative free and is proven to relieve diaper rash within six hours. It's no wonder families use Aquaphor down through the generations!
Invest in lots of Onesies. Last but not least, every little body needs a wardrobe with onesies. They're perfect for layering in different environments and make diaper changing a breeze. Plus, there is no shortage of color prints, styles and sayings. Thanks to pinterest there are now loads of ideas out there for DIY projects using plain white onesies too!

My best advice about babies is that every body has an opinion about everything...do what is best for you!

Babies love to eat and we love to feed them. The problem is letting them eat too much at one time and then having a fessy baby. Take your time feeding for a less fussy baby.

My daughter in law is going to love this.
