An Easter PSA: Save the Bunnies!

When Chris and I were first married, he caught me tearing up every time the "Peter Cottontail" commercials aired on TV around Easter time. I loooove bunnies. I raised rabbits as a child and have never gotten over my addiction to all things fluffy and bouncy...

He surprised me one birthday (my birthday falls a few weeks after Easter most years) with an adorable, fluffy, super soft, sweet little white bunny.

    I was smitten!

Unfortunately, three weeks later, my Easter bunny was lying, dead in its cage.

Why? Because breeders take the baby bunnies away from their mothers much too soon during the Spring, in anticipation of people like me, that want a rabbit for Easter. His poor little immune system wasn't strong enough and he died.

    I felt horrible!

Don't let this happen to you!

I hate how people dye baby chicks to sell them for Easter! So sad and inhumane.
