A while back, I shared with you in my Alamo Then and Now post a little bit about my childhood back in Kentucky and how I never really traveled to visit my family during the holidays.

Well, all of that time not traveling during the holidays as a child? I am totally making up for it now!

Living in South Florida can be so boring during the holidays that it has become my favorite time of year to travel. I've been to Chicago and upstate New York in November - and saw snow for the first time in upstate New York for the first time since my childhood in Kentucky!

I've also been to Albuquerque  New Mexico during the holidays to visit my in-laws.

This, by far, was my favorite holiday trip! The last time we went to New Mexico for the holidays, it snowed 18 inches the night before we arrived. The mountains were covered in snow the entire time we were there!

I built my first snow man!

While you are planning your holiday travels this year, considering renting a car from Alamo!

Alamo is an international car rental agency with locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia. With 171 kiosks at 63 U.S. locations, you can be sure that there will be a car available for you wherever it is you are traveling this holiday season!

Alamo posts deals on Alamo.com every week so that their customers are able to save even more money on their rentals! On top of Alamo's already fantastic prices, customers who join the Alamo Insiders can receive an additional 10% (or more) discount on their rental.

It’s simple to join Alamo Insiders, just visit Alamo.com and follow the simple prompts!

So, with the great deals you can get on a rental from Alamo this holiday season, where do you think you will want to go?
