In the last couple of decades, Dubai has become one of the leading new tourist destinations for holidaymakers from all over the world. The new and exciting destination is a bucket list location for many, but before you touch down to have the holiday of a lifetime, it is important that you learn a few tips and tricks for how to have the best experience. It is an avant-guard city that has a lot to offer. Here are 10 Things to Know before Visiting Dubai.

10 Things to Know before Visiting Dubai

10 Things to Know before Visiting Dubai

    1. Skyscrapers

Get ready to enjoy a wide range of beautiful skyscrapers. Dubai is becoming famous for its dramatic and futuristic buildings, including the Marina 101 and Princess Tower, and with plans for the extraordinary Dubai Rotating Tower to be inaugurated in 2020.

10 Things to Know before Visiting Dubai

    1. Amazing Spas

One of Dubai's greatest features is its array of sensational spas in many of the luxury hotels. Make sure to pencil in time for one or two treatments during your visit.

    1. Shopping Malls

You haven't experienced true luxury shopping until you have been to Dubai. The sheer size of the malls is incredible, and they offer the kind of experience that you can't get anywhere else in the world.

    1. Visiting Months

When planning the perfect visit, it is generally thought that the ideal months to travel to Dubai are between October and April. These are best in terms of bearable weather for tourists.

    1. Dress Modestly

Anyone visiting a foreign country should be mindful and respectful of the native culture. Dubai is a country that remains culturally and religiously conservative and as a result, both citizens and visitors are required to dress in a modest fashion.

    1. Public Affection

If travelling with a partner, be careful of displays of affection in public. Again, this is something that is frowned upon in the native culture, and you don't want to run the risk of unwanted attention and punishment.

    1. Amazing Food

Look forward to having some of the best culinary experiences of your life! Dubai is famous for its array of award-winning restaurants.

    1. Safety

Keeping the cultural rules in mind, it is also important to note that Dubai is a very safe city to visit. The crime rate is incredibly low.

    1. Cheap Taxis

A good tip for visitors is that taxi travel is very cheap in Dubai compared to other countries in the world. It is a great way to get from one place to another on a budget.

    1. Orlando

In many ways, you can see that Dubai is trying to emulate a tourist haven like Orlando, albeit with more conservative cultural views.

These are just ten of hundreds of interesting facts about Dubai. To really understand the magic of the country, you need to visit for yourself!
