I felt the magic of swiss herbs in Ricola® Herb & Throat drops as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #swissherbs
I carry Ricola® Herb & Throat drops with me just about everywhere I go. When you spend as much time in airports and on planes as I do, you never know if that the dry, scratchy throat is a result of all of the recycled air you're breathing, or something worse...the sign of an oncoming cold! A new friend on a press trip recently had a little coughing fit and after I handed her a Ricola Dual Action Honey Lemon herb drop, she jokingly said, "You should be a Ricola spokesperson." You wouldn't believe how often I hear this - I take it to mean that I am doing a good job as a Ricola Ambassador!
There are a few Ricola herb drops that I like to carry with me when I travel, but the Dual Action Honey Lemon is great when you're already feeling under the weather because it provides relief for coughs and sore throats, all in one drop with a blend of 10 natural Swiss alpine herbs, natural menthol and soothing honey lemon syrup center. It's one of the first things I put in my carry on when I am packing for a trip - if there aren't some already in there!
That Chrüeterchraft is like a secret little weapon of goodness that gives you fast, dual action relief for your your cough and sore throat so that you can get on with your day...however you choose to spend that day!
Do you remember Senior Skip day back in high school, and while some of us did the admirable thing and went to school, most of the senior class ran off to the beach for the day (or wherever you guys went who didn't live near a beach)? Well, guess what? November 30th is Call In Well Day...THIS IS A REAL DAY! Yes, I know that there are a lot of made up holidays, but this one...well, I think we ALL need to celebrate Call In Well Day, and if you just really can't afford to miss work on November 30th for whatever reason, I strongly encourage you to sit down with your calendar and figure out when you can celebrate!
CALL IN WELL DAY - NOVEMBER 30th
Instead of “calling in sick”, call in well from work - and if you work from home, that means turning on your "Our of Office" email responder! We've all had those days where we are stuck at our desks and find ourselves staring out the window and the sun seems to be shining brighter than it's ever shone before, the birds are chirping their little heads off, unicorns are playing hopscotch on top of rainbows...and we're sitting in our death cube, or chained to the crappy, not-ergonomically correct desk chair in our home office, wanting to cry our eyes out because we know that as soon as we wake up on Saturday morning, with all of the free time in the world, it's going to be raining, thundering, lightening, etc.
It always happens. It's Murphy's Law.
So celebrate that beautiful morning, and celebrate how good you FEEL thanks to Ricola Dual Action Honey Lemon. CALL IN WELL.
I mean it. Do you need a little help thinking of things to do on your Call in Well Day?
10 Things to Do On Call in Well Day
Get Physical! When the sun is shining and you're feeling amazing, go outside and get some Vitamin D! I like to go kayaking for a little fun on the water and a little exercise.
Go For A Walk. Why spend your well day sitting at home or stuck in a mall? Go breathe some fresh air and do something different than you'd do if you were at work!
Meet a Friend for Lunch. We all have at least one friend who works from home or is a stay at home mom or housewife, and we rarely see them. Call them up and ask them to meet for coffee or lunch!
Sleep In. Call in WELL, then turn the alarm off and go back to sleep. A late morning might be a nightmare during the workweek, but when you're staying home...well, it can be totally magical to get an extra hour or two of shut eye!
Bake Cookies in the Middle of the Day. I love baking, and I am always hearing from friends that they never have time to bake up sweet treats for their families. Use that well day to whip up this chocolate chip cookies recipe - they only take about 20 minutes from start to finish!
Go to the Beach...or lake, or whatever body of water you have near you! Remember, we are doing things that we never do during the regular work week. Go crazy with it!
Try Something NEW. Have you ever been fishing? There's a saying here in South Florida: "I say we fish five days and work two." There's something just so relaxing and revitalizing about spending a day on the water, communing with nature...and then catching and eating it.
Plan That Vacation You've Always Wanted to Take. Spend an afternoon lounging on the sofa with your laptop, and use that free time to plan the vacation of your dreams. During the middle of the day, airfares are usually cheaper, and you never know when a hotel will have a special promotion in the middle of the week!
Pick the Kids Up Early From School. I know, I know...we see our kids every day. But when is the last time the kids had a well day from school? Spread the joy and take the kids to the park for an afternoon or out for ice cream! Leaving school early to go have fun is a memory that they'll cherish for a lifetime!
Do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Chances are that your workweek is jam-packed with work duties, shuffling kids back and forth, housework, cooking and who knows what else. All of these ideas are great ways to spend a well day...but I also think that sometimes we just need to stay in our pajamas, snuggled up in our comfy beds, and watch tv or read a book ALL DAY LONG. Try it, it's nice!

Murphy's Law works overtime in my house, or so it seems. I learned about Ricola years ago when I was working retail and then in a call center, they really do help.

I think I am going to "Call in Well" today and do some Christmas Shopping. I am about ready to get out in a bit and hit a few stores and then hit a few more virtually this afternoon.

I love the idea of Call in Well Day! I would use it to take some time and pamper myself. My husband uses Ricola.

Those Ricola Herb and Throat drops are amazing! Whenever I have a scratchy throat or feel a cold coming on, I suck on one of these for almost instant relief! I love the idea of a call in well day!
