Even though I am not religious, sometimes I drive past this church down the street from me, just to see their signs.
Not to poke fun, but because they always have something to say – whether it’s funny, inspirational, or just plain clever.
It started last year when I saw this in their front lawn…seriously, it was about 10 foot tall.
It turns out, they were having a sermon on the blue elephant in the room – pornography.
Last week, I saw this sign, and I had to turn around and go back to take a photo!
So this week, as I passed the church on my way to grocery shop, I paid special attention.
Once again, I had to share what I saw with you all. I don’t know who comes up with these quotes every week, but I am thinking about stopping in and asking them for a little interview. They’re quite insightful, aren’t they?
I am all about a faith that teaches kindness – unlike other churches that advertise their hate-mongering, this church never seems to say anything negative. Each message is uplifting, guiding, and sincere. I love it!
What do I mean by hate-mongering? Well, this is a good example:
Maybe Havens Corners Church should read the sign from Upper Room Assembly of God?
Or maybe the preacher from this church should hire the guy that writes the signs for Upper Room?
There’s an old saying, I am sure you’ve all heard it: You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
Maybe they should put that on the sign next week…
