You know I love dogs, right?

Growing up, I always thought that I was a cat person – but that changed when I got my first Alaskan Malamute puppy. I knew right then and there that I was a dog person; I just needed the right dog to discover it!

While dogs have always been known as “man’s best friend,” a recent study conducted by Purina Dog Chow revealed that dog are actually the “families’ best friend.”

Some findings of that study are pretty interesting, and might make you rethink your no-pets policy the next time your little one comes home begging for a puppy!

Take for example that families with dogs participate in healthy behaviors more frequently –

  • Dog families spend an average of 15 times per month outdoors, compared to only 11 times per month in non-dog families
  • Children with dogs are 20% more likely to play outside every day than children without dogs
Purina Dog Chow shared this cool infographic that I wanted to share today:

Thank you to Purina for sharing this lovely infographic!

I like dogs…but I ~LOVE~ cats! I think any kind of pet is healthy to have around the house, they make you happier and less stressed.
