I just found out about this new service, Ticlr, yesterday. The website says that Ticlr is a gift-giving engine that assists you in strengthening and managing your relationships by sending a message with a gift or gesture.

I didn’t quite get it at first, so I checked out their website for more information…

What exactly is the point of Ticlr?

Ticlr is a gift idea engine. You can create your own gift or search the Gift Locker to find the perfect gift idea for your loved ones, friends, and coworkers.

After you have registered and logged into Ticlr you can “tickle” someone by composing a message and coupling it with a gift. The gift can be anything, like a promise to deliver a product or a personal service, a commitment to do chores or an offer to do something together.

The best part of Ticlr? The service is completely free – you only spend whatever the cost of your gift actually is.

This reminds me of those coupons we made for our parents when we were younger and didn’t have cash to buy them a gift; it’s a way to show someone that you care with a little extra oomph thrown in! Of course, you can also provide a real, tangible, physical gift along with your Tickle – you send whatever gift you want to send!

I’m loving this idea!
