The big game is right around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but I am already planning my menu for game day! It’s kind of funny, really: Chris and Angeline are super excited for the football game itself, but I am all about the commercials and the fun party food that I serve during the game! I have already been experimenting with creating a TGI Friday’s appetizers spread including potato skins and chicken wings – I’ve even been playing around with football-themed party supplies, even though we aren’t hosting a party this year.

Don’t these TGI Friday’s appetizers look delicious? These are the T.G.I. Friday’s Frozen Chicken Wings Honey BBQ Sauce and Loaded Cheddar & Bacon Potato Skins that I bought at Walmart for just $4.98 a box!

They have larger boxes priced at just $6.97 for bigger families, or for a big party spread. I love all of their different options, but the TGI Friday’s Appetizer chicken wings and the potato skins are our favorites for any kind of party!

TGI Friday’s Appetizers are so easy to prepare, you literally just throw them on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven for about 16-18 minutes, depending on which appetizer you are making.

I was a bit nervous about making the TGI Friday’s potato skins because a friend told me that they weren’t the same as the restaurant serves, but I found that they looked almost identical, even right out of the box!

I usually serve my finger foods in electric buffet servers during parties, but since we just made these as a late lunch on Sunday, I served them on my new football-themed platter. I bought a cute little platter, football themed vinyl tablecloth, football party picks, party cups and napkins all for just about $12. Not bad at all, if I do say so myself!

I love decorating with themed party supplies because it helps get people excited for the big game – even if it is just us three watching!

TGI Friday’s Appetizers are a great way to serve up delicious food at your game day party, or even just to make your own little family viewing all that much more fun! We really enjoyed the TGI Friday’s appetizer chicken wings and potato skins – actually, more so than I thought we would! While they don’t taste exactly like the ones prepared in the restaurant (does anything, really?), they were pretty fantastic and so easy to make!

What will you be serving at your game day party this year?

I love the potato skins! I used to buy them more often, but haven’t in a while. This is definitely a reminder to pick some up on my grocery run this weekend. (We’re also making a vegetarian chili in the slow cooker. It makes a great dip, but is filling enough to be dinner. SO yummy.)

Let’s be honest – TGI Fridays potato skins are one of my all time favorite apps. Even when they are frozen. Add some sour cream, and I’m in!

I LOVE TGI Fridays frozen appetizers! My favorite are the chicken quesadillas, jalapeno poppers, and loaded potato skins. I could eat a box of the poppers all on my own. Yes it’s terrible. I am hooked!

I’m with you. I am so not into the actual game. I don’t follow football at all. But man do I love the excuse to turn 10 different appetizers into a meal!

I love having appetizers at parties. Those football picks are so cute and really are perfect for the Super Bowl game party. TGI Friday’s has a ton of options I need to check them out when I go shopping.

My family has always loved getting the frozen TGIFriday’s appetizers as a special treat. They really are perfect for game day parties, or for movie nights.
