It’s that time of year again…the third annual Pridemore Progressive Dinner Party! Each year, right before Christmas, my family gathers together and hops from home to home, enjoying a single course along the way. This year, I have the privilege of hosting the dessert course and I couldn’t be more excited!

I just love baking! Now, if it were up to me, we would just have cake, cake and more cake. But I recognize that some people prefer a salty sweet dessert treat, so I found this cute – and oh so easy – S’mores recipe using Rold Gold Pretzels for a nice little salty twist on an old classic!

Ingredients:
40 ROLD GOLD® Classic Style Tiny Twists Pretzels
16 oz of semi sweet chocolate, extra for grating
1 cup marshmallow crème

Instructions:
Break chocolate up and place in microwave safe bowl.
Heat chocolate in microwave until melted and smooth, stirring every 30 seconds.
Cover cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Lay out 20 pretzels on prepared cookie sheet.
Place melted chocolate in a piping bag or create your own by placing chocolate in a small plastic bag and snipping off one corner.
Fill pretzel openings with melted chocolate and allow to cool.

Once cool, place 2 tsp of marshmallow crème on the chocolate filled pretzels and top with a pretzel, pressing gently. If desired, grate extra chocolate over pretzels and serve!

This recipe sounds like a good addition to my sweets that I make for hubbys workplace. I love the sweet and salty combo. That is a great idea putting the timer on a magnet! You won’t ever lose it in the kitchen.

I love chocolate covered pretzels especially at this time of year. This is a clever combination that is a new way to make everyone’s favorite snack-smores.
