My family is growing by leaps and bounds…and unfortunately, while we are growing, we are also spreading out farther and farther away from each other. It makes planning our family gatherings – of which there are plenty – very difficult to organize!

This week is my youngest sister’s 20th birthday and we are planning a lovely birthday brunch for her. My grandparents are in the same state but a few hours away, our aunt is out of state and our cousins are out of state. Everyone wants to be involved with the party planning, but it is such a hassle to keep track of the emails, text messages and posts on Facebook!

That’s where conference calls become so convenient! With one call, we are all connected and can hash out the details. This great company, Powwownow makes life so much easier for big families who don’t live near each other!

Also? They even have an iPhone app! And y’all know how much I love my iPhone apps!

With their iPhone app, friends and families have the ability to discuss their party plans (baby showers, girl’s night out, or birthday parties) with different people simultaneously with a spontaneous free conference call!

Think about how easy it would be to plan a surprise birthday party if you were to use this conference call service instead of emailing, calling, texting, messaging, etc. One phone call would be a great way to keep everyone on the same page!

The advantages are pretty obvious; it is a really low cost way to handle getting everyone on the phone at the same time. Since the only charge is the normal call charges incurred for a local or long distance call, using Powwownow is actually a free service! If you’re on an unlimited cell phone plan, then it’s completely free!

I think I just found my new favorite party planning tool!
