A few weeks ago, I caught wind of this new company, Cakedy (pronounced cake-uh-dee), a candy bar maker with a sweet little shop selling something I’ve never heard of before – cake candy bars! Each bar is a combination of moist cake, a creamy nougat, and a candy coating shell. Sounds delicious, right?

If you know me, you know that I love cake. And the only thing I love as much as cake is candy! So, this concept pretty much made me squeal like a little girl. I asked them to send me a few samples for a review…being a blogger who does reviews does have it’s rewards…and they sent me a Peanutter and Choco Chocatus bar. Now, it was in August…and in Miami, so they were a bit melty when I received the package. They had that covered, though – right in the box (and on their website) they recommend sticking your Cakedy bars in the freezer for 20 minutes upon receipt.

They were really, really good! My daughter and I ate them up in just a few minutes!

While they aren’t yet available in stores, Cakedy has a website with four different flavors:

  • Choco Chocatus – chocolate cake with a chocolate shell
  • Peanutter – peanut butter cookie cake with a chocolate shell
  • Vanocolate – buttery white cake with vanilla nougat and a chocolate shell
  • RedHead – gourmet strawberry cake, cream cheese nougat and a strawberry shell

They are made fresh as orders come in and arrive in 3-5 days via regular mail. Each bar is about 2 ounces, which is the size of a regular sized candy bar. They’re not expensive either, which surprised me because they are made fresh for each order. For a package of 3, they are only $2.96!

If you want something totally unique and incredibly delicious, check out Cakedy! I promise, you won’t be disappointed!
