One of my favorite things about blogging is the ability to share my creative side with people all over the internet. While I haven’t had the time to sit down and write any fiction lately, I am still reading what others are writing and when my friend Tucker asked to help him get feedback on the short story he’s written, I was happy to oblige.

I’ve been fairly happy with the life I’ve had ‘til now.  I’ve had a fairly successful footballing career with Newcastle United – that continuing into football management with the same club after injury ended my playing career.  I’ve got a more than comfortable lifestyle because of the financial rewards of that footballing career.

The only thing missing from my life has been love.  Well, true love that is.  Sure, I’ve been in love.  I was even married for 10 years but my relationship with Jo, my ex, was really just a convenient comfort from the only real love for a person that I’d ever felt…

Over the years, my heart had ached for the girl I met when on a loan spell in France. Over the years I had often wondered…
