Up until a few years ago, I didn’t have a dishwasher.

Our home was built in 1959, and we still have the original maple cabinets that were installed when the house was being built. Are they awesome? Yes. Are they wide enough to fit a dishwasher into? No. So we have neglected to tear them out in order to install wider cabinets because frankly, they don’t make them like they used to!

Four years ago we purchased a portable dishwasher. It’s the same size as a normal dishwasher but sits next to our china cabinet and we have to wheel it over to the sink and connect it to our faucet to do the dishes.

As much as I love my dishwasher, I hate those water spots that are always left on my glassware and silverware. I mean, my glasses are clean, but they don’t sparkle the way they did when we hand washed and dried. I found that it had nothing to do with my detergent, because with detergents alone, food and chemical residues can redeposit on dishware during the rinse cycle, causing spots and residues.

Because I already use the Finish Powerball tabs, I decided to try Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Agent last week, just to see if it really worked. It claims to rinse away leftover food and detergent residues for sparkling dishes, glasses and cutlery, and those were the issues I was having, so I figured it was worth a shot!

It is really easy to use; simply fill your rinse agent dispenser with Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Agent and it will be automatically released in the rinse cycle every time your dishwasher runs. How easy is that?! I am happy to report that it really works, too! When my family came over for our progressive holiday dinner this past weekend, I wasn’t embarrassed to set my glassware out on the counter for their drinks.

It’s nice to know that I can pull out a glass when someone comes over and I don’t have to worry about them thinking my dishes are dirty! And honestly, sparkly dishes just look nicer and make me feel better about taking a big drink out of my glass!

I would like to try Jet Dry. I have a lot of spots on my dishes so I hoping this will work. I also have to wheel my dishwasher to the sink because of my cabinet space. I just got my dishwasher this summer when I found out we were having out second set of twins and so I am still experimenting. Jet Dry will help me figure out what I am doing wrong.
