To say that I travel a lot would be laughable. I travel almost constantly…and with two dogs and three cats at home, planning who will watch my house while I am away is just as important as planning my travel details like flights, accommodations, etc. Since Angeline has moved out on her own, my friend Bri has begun housesitting for me. If you have pets, then you are probably well aware of how difficult it can be to find a reliable – PET FRIENDLY – house sitter. I appreciate all of the work Bri does for me while I travel; she doesn’t just keep the house occupied and make sure the dogs and cats are fed…she plays with them! She keeps them loved up with attention so that they don’t get lonely while I am away. She also does crazy stuff for me like opens my mail to let me know if any products have arrived for blog posts, tells me if any checks have come in so that I can ask her to deposit them using my mobile banking app, runs errands I might need while I am away – for instance, my car broke down the night before I left for a three-week long trip to the U.K. I was so busy getting ready for my trip that Bri took my car to the shop for me!

As you may have guessed, Bri isn’t just a house sitter, she’s my best friend and basically a part time assistant as well! Before leaving for my big U.K. trip, which was going to be the longest trip I’d taken in ages, I put together a THANK YOU gift basket for her to show my appreciation for all that she does for me, not just during this trip, but in our everyday lives.

Front and center were two bottles of our favorite thing…wine! Gloria Ferrer wines? THE PERFECT TOUCH.

#GloriaFerrer

Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards is Carneros’ original sparkling wine house, owned and founded by the Ferrer family of Spain. Named for José Ferrer’s wife, Gloria, the winery opened in 1986 in the breezy, now-famous region in southernmost Sonoma County. Gloria Ferrer is not only the first sparkling wine house in Sonoma Carneros, but also the first to bring back clones from France to plant in their vineyard. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love wines from around the world, BUT I think it’s safe to say that we all know that the best sparkling wines come from France.

Gloria Ferrer has been creating quality wines for over thirty years, with 335 acres in their vineyards, and are now known as experts when it comes to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. No, I am not kidding. They’re literally experts. Gloria Ferrer wines have earned over 500 gold medals and 50 90+ scores in the last 5 years. I put together my Thank You gift basket for Bri with the NV Blanc de Blanc and NV Brut Rosé – she’s my best brunch buddy, so I knew that these would be perfect in my absence.

I gathered a few fun things aside from the wines, like a book about wine, a friendship candle and some snacks and a S’well bottle – Bri is constantly drinking water, so I knew that she’d love this!
