Disneyland. I went to Disneyland, guys! Finally, after all of these years of visiting Los Angeles and always coming home to tell my friends that I’d never been to the other Happiest Place on Earth…I finally walked through those magic gates and experienced the original Disney theme park…and boy, it sure didn’t disappoint! The Festival of Holidays was in full effect throughout the entire theme park, and I even got the ride the updated Star Tours – The Adventure Continues ride!

I can’t even tell you how magical it was to walk around Disneyland and see everything lit up, decorated, covered in wreaths and brightly colored ornaments…

I have such a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit home in Miami, so paying this trip to Disneyland really helped me start to feel like, oh, hey, guess what? IT IS THE HOLIDAY SEASON!

To see Sleeping Beauty’s Castle all lit up…it was nothing short of magical!

I am not a big fan of theme park rides, as I get motion sickness very easily. I skipped out on Space Mountain, but of course I rode It’s a Small World in Disneyland.

I HAD TO!! Okay, so I have done this ride a billion times at Walt Disney World…and yeah, it’s the same ride, BUT, It’s a Small World at Disneyland was totally changed up for the holiday season and I rode through that ride and almost teared up because gradually…the holidays began to feel real to me.

It’s been really hard going through the holiday season since my divorce. Angeline is all grown up, there’s no excitement for us for Christmas morning anymore! I am so thankful to have had that experience in the It’s a Small World in Disneyland because…it really touched me.

The updated Star Tours – The Adventure Continues ride at Disneyland was really pretty cool! It was one of those rides that has enough movement to be FUN, but not enough to upset anyone’s stomach. And of course, it was STAR WARS themed, so it was pretty awesome just in that aspect alone!

I really wanted to share a photo of the ride itself, because it’s so cool…there are new characters, y’all! So, in light of not taking photos DURING the ride itself, here is a photo depicting my unhappiness at not taking said photos.

I do have some awesome images straight from Disney to share!

The ride is so fun, it’s like you’re really in the movie!

A big, big thank you to Disney for making this such an awesome trip and getting this chick into the spirit of the holidays – and for my FIRST visit to Disneyland!!!
