There’s a reason why Disney is my favorite movie studio…they’re awesome. Disney has a way of hiring the most talented, creative writers, producers, actors and animators and creating a masterpiece with every film they create. The Lone Ranger trailer towards the bottom of this post is testament to that!
When we hear that a Disney film is coming to theaters, we are all excited – a 30-something man, a 30-something woman, and a teenage girl. What other movie studio can appeal to three such different demographics?
When I heard that Disney was working on bringing The Lone Ranger to the theaters, I knew it would be a movie our entire family would enjoy. For Chris and I, there’s the appeal of well, The Lone Ranger. Once we saw the very first The Lone Ranger trailer we immediately knew that this movie would bring to life what we thought of when we think The Lone Ranger, you know what I mean?
On top of giving us a movie about beloved characters from our childhood, Disney threw in a huge bonus – the casting of Johnny Depp as Tonto. For Angeline, the major draw is Johnny Depp, who is an actor that appeals to all generations! And of course, there’s Armie Hammer, who’s star is quickly rising – especially in the eyes of teenage girls!
From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the film-making team behind the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ The Lone Ranger, a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.
Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
The Lone Ranger also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.
You can catch a little peak in this The Lone Ranger trailer – but be warned, you’re going to get really, really impatient for July 3rd once you see it!
