I can’t believe January is already over. It is cliche, but so true when people say that as you get older, time passes more quickly!

While looking back at my photos, I realized something pretty monumental: I didn’t work a year end at Paychex. I worked an agonizingly busy January, which we called “Year End” from 2004 to 2010…this was my first January that I actually enjoyed…

January 22: I ate a shit load of gummy bears. I took a picture of the three strangest ones. This is what happens when you buy generic brand gummy bears!

January 23: This is my adorable little cousin who was visiting for my grandfather’s birthday party. Like a dumb ass, I didn’t take any pictures during the party – just my cousin sitting outside.

January 24: I actually brought this acorn back with me from visiting a friend in KY last year and it is sitting on my dresser. I thought I’d try out some of the new settings on Instagram and this was my favorite result!

January 25: One of the biggest changes in my life since I became a housewife is that I do A LOT of cooking now. I watch Food Network, I read articles and such to find new recipes and ideas for spicing up mealtime. This was a standing rib roast recipe that I got off the Food Network’s website – it was a recipe by Anne Burrell. It was delicious, but the rib roast was $37 and it took me over 3 hours to make it. So, I don’t think we will be eating that very often. LOL

January 26: I started exercising again. For about 3 days. Better than nothing, right?

January 27: I can’t get over how fricking adorable my Shelties are!

January 28: We haven’t mowed the lawn in ages. We have a bunch of weeds – aka “wildflowers” growing right now, so I have been snapping pictures of them. I think this is a pretty one. It somehow began growing in my flower pot after a different flower died (I may or may not have forgotten to water it for 4 or 5 months…)

January 29: Its hard to Facebook/Tweet/Blog when dogs are laying all over your laptop.

January 30: I had to share this. My stupid cat picked the top of the snake cage, of all places, to take a nap. WTF? It has only a screen cover which she could easily fall through. Stupid cat.

January 31: Nothing much happened this day. I took a picture of my sleeping puppy.
