secret garden event disclosure

I love Macy’s, and when the Everywhere Society asked me to attend the Secret Garden Event to preview the Spring Fashion Trends at Macy’s at Dadeland Mall in Miami, of course I said yes! You see, spring fashion is pretty much my year-round style: flirty dresses, lace details, flowers…that’s me to a T! I’ve always been something of a shopaholic, and my store of choice used to be Burdines, the Florida Store, which eventually became Macy’s. All in all, I’ve been shopping at what is now Macy’s in Miami since 1997…when I was 18 and first began shopping on my own! I am the ultimate loyal customer, right? It’s been almost 30 years! Wait, that gives away my age…Oh well, too late!

2014 Spring Fashion Trends at Macy’s

Our local Macy’s in Dadeland Mall hosts fashion shows every once in a while, and they are usually hosted by local fashion bloggers. The Secret Garden Event was hosted by Viva Fashion blogger Carmen Cordenza, and in addition to the show, Macy’s was giving mini makeovers with Benefit Cosmetics and floral designed mini manicures by Aruj Spa & Salon. There was even a refreshment stand set up with Madi’s Tea Garden supplying the snacks and drinks!

The Spring Fashion Trends at Macy’s has something for everyone!

One of the big trends for Spring of course revolves around a floral-inspired theme: The Secret Garden. Think pretty, lush flowers, romance and soft details. Of course, we don’t want to go all hippy chick with these flowery dresses – try pairing them with a chunky, bold statement necklace like this model is wearing, and cute, studded heels or strappy sandals, if you’re balance-challenged like I am!

If the flowery bohemian look isn’t really your thing, the sporty chick look is also in for Spring!

Try a maxi dress with style, it’s simple, comfortable but still fashionable!

For a more fun and flirty look, try a shift dress – they are totally in for spring and look great on so many body types – with a sporty trench coat.

You need a little protection from those April showers, after all!

Heading to a garden party, wedding or even a prom? Macy’s has you covered there too!

Flared dresses and flirty skirts are totally in style for Spring, as is the white-hot trend! Think eyelet and lace blouses with jeans and strappy sandals, gorgeous dresses ranging from evening gowns to sundresses perfect for a backyard barbecue.

Macy’s has options ranging from simple to elegant, all from your favorite designers, and you’ll be certain to find something perfect, no matter what the occasion!

he first outfit is super cute but I don’t have the figure for it. my Mom loves nautical themes and the third outfit makes me think of her.

I love some of those dresses, and my daughter does too, but darn it, do they always have to make them to short? She couldn’t even wear the top one to school, lol.
I love Macy’s though, we hit up their sales and clearance whenever possible!

I have a ton of respect for Macy’s. I gained even more seeing that they used what would be considered a plus size model to model that dress. I am SO happy florals are in! I can never get enough flowers in my life.

Everyone can jive on fashion trends its just a matter of self confidence in helping ourselves to really show the world that we can do it and of course learning to search and apply it in our daily lives.
